Power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z have adorable matching wedding ring finger tattoos featuring the Roman numeral IV, but ever since the video was leaked of Jay-Z and Solange Knowles having it out in an elevator, rumors have been flying that Beyoncé is getting her “IV” finger tattoo removed. The video in question was captured by a camera in an elevator last week as Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Solange were leaving the MET Gala, and while no one is exactly sure what sparked the fight, the grainy black and white footage shows Solange full-on attacking Jay-Z, spilling the contents of her purse on the floor and being held back by a body guard, while Beyoncé looks on with embarrassment/humiliation/horror…you name it.
So back to Beyoncé’s missing finger tattoo. Compared to previous photos of Queen Bey and Jay-Z where their “IV” finger tattoos are bold and very noticeable, more reason snaps of the pop star and her hubby show tats that appear to be either extremely faded or in the process of being removed, which would be strange considering how important the number four is for them.
According to Beyoncé, the number four holds a special meaning for both her and her husband for several reasons. Not only were both Beyoncé and Jay-Z born on the fourth day of their birth months (September and December, respectively), they were also married on the fourth day of the fourth month of the year (that means April 4th), and “4” was the name of Beyoncé’s fourth studio album. Phew! That’s a lot of fours.
Ever since Beyoncé was spotted out in public with her almost nonexistent wedding date tattoo, everyone has been in an uproar worrying that her and Jay-Z may be getting a divorce, and also that her and Solange are no longer on speaking terms. Despite claims that Bey and her “twisted sister” have had a falling out since the so-called “elevator fight” however, Queen Bey has made a point to upload old school pics of herself and Solange on her Instagram account over the past few days. She also posted this message on her Tumblr account:
Lord, I lift up every one of my relationships to You and ask You to bless them. I pray that each one would be glorifying to You. Help me to choose my friends wisely so I won’t be led astray. Give me discernment and strength to separate myself from anyone who is not a good influence. I release all my relationships to You and pray that Your will be done in each one of them.
