  • Chris Brown used to enjoy doing graffiti, and he has several tattoos on his body that represent this favorite past time, including the spray can tat on his left arm and the graffiti-style “C” being held up by a hand on his upper left arm. Both of these sleeve tattoos were inked in Chris Brown’s teens, back when he was still actively into doing graffiti art.
  • At the 2008 American Music Awards, Chris Brown announced the title of this third studio album, Graffiti, which Brown called an “amazing, insane record. Something you’ve never heard before.” The album was released in December 2009, and debuted at number seven on the Billboard 200, selling 102,000 copies in its first week.
  • On July 6, 2012, Chris Brown used Twitter to post a link to a picture on Instagram of a graffiti mural that he painted for the Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention center in South Los Angeles. The Jenesse Center is actually the oldest domestic violence intervention center in the South L.A. area, founded in 1980 by five African American women who were survivors of domestic violence. The mural is a funky graffiti painting of colorful faces on a long wall located outdoors.
