Hailey Balwin has become a bit of a tattoo aficionado in recent years, much like her cousin Ireland Baldwin and best gal pal Kendall Jenner (in fact, she has gotten inked with both girls!), and the model already has quite a few pieces to her name, most of which are tributes to the people she holds close to her heart. Her very first tattoo, for example, was the “VI.X.XC” Roman numerals tattoo she had inked on her wrist to commemorate the wedding date of her parents, Stephen and Kennya Baldwin. There’s no doubt that Hailey Baldwin has been bitten by the tattoo bug, and we cannot wait to see what other ink the model decides to get in the future. Sticking to her tiny tattoo theme, Hailey Baldwin hit up NYC-based tattoo artist JonBoy for some fresh ink in June 2016, adding to her collection a miniature tat reading “PRAY” on her hands. Hailey’s pray tattoo was thought up by gal pal Kendall Jenner, and is designed so that when she brings her hands together in the universal sign of prayer, the letters “PR” on her left-hand index finger come together with the “AY” on her right-hand index finger to form the word “PRAY.”
In May 2016, during an outing with BFF and fellow model Mari Mckinney in New York City, the girls hit up JonBoy’s West 4 Tattoo shop for some matching ink. Hailey’s “gente” tattoo is a small piece inked on her left hip that means “people” in Portuguese, her mother’s native language, and is a tribute to her Brazilian heritage on her mother’s side.
In August 2015, Hailey Baldwin and Kendall Jenner took another trip to the tattoo shop together, and this time the girls opted for matching broken heart tattoos. Hailey’s broken heart tat is inked in red on the inside of her left-hand middle finger, and Kendall’s is inked in the same spot in white. Hailey’s broken heart finger tattoo was inked just two weeks after the “baldwin” tattoo on her other middle finger, and about a month after her “g” behind-the-ear tat.
In July 2015, Hailey Baldwin hit up Jon Boy in NYC for yet another tattoo, this time with cousin and BFF Ireland Baldwin in tow. The two girls, who are only about a month apart in age, got adorable matching “baldwin” tattoos inked on the inside of their middle fingers in a simple black script font, as a tribute to their family name. Ireland Baldwin already has her fair share of ink, located mostly on her arms, and it seems as though Hailey is trying to catch up to her cousin!
Hailey Baldwin is obviously a caring and compassionate person, and when she decided she was ready for her third tattoo, she opted for a tiny lower-case “g” tattoo inked in a black script font behind her ear. Hailey’s “g” tattoo is located behind her left ear, and is a tribute to Seattle Megachurch Pastor Chad Veach’s daughter Georgia, who was born with a rare brain disorder called Lissencephaly. There are a number of other celebrities out there with “G” tattoos dedicated to Georgia, including Justin Bieber.
During the same tattoo session that resulted in her heart ankle tattoo, Hailey Baldwin got a second tattoo of a gun inked on the inside of her left-hand middle finger. The model didn’t reveal her gun tattoo until much later, in an Instagram post that read, “I don’t know why I have this tattoo. Just another story to tell lol. It is what it is.”
Just a few months after getting her first tattoo, Hailey Baldwin was all set for tattoo number 2, returning to Jon Boy in New York City to get a tiny heart outline tattoo inked in black on the back of her ankle, a design similar to the heart tat Gabby Westbrook got on her wrist during Hailey’s previous tattoo session. After getting her heart ankle tattoo, Hailey Baldwin turned the needle on her tattoo artist, Jon Boy, and gave him a tattoo too!
1. Hailey Baldwin’s “VI.X.XC” Tattoo on Her Wrist
Hailey Baldwin’s very first tattoo was done by NYC-based tattooist Jon Boy in January 2015, and features the Roman numerals “VI.X.XC” inked in black on the outside of her right wrist. Hailey’s Roman numerals tattoo stands for the date June 10, 1990, which is the day her parents, Stephen and Kennya Baldwin, tied the knot. For her first-ever tattoo, Hailey brought along gal pal Gabby Westbrook, who had a heart outline tattoo inked in the same spot on her right wrist.
